Sergio Acosta, co-chair of Akerman's White Collar Crime and Government Investigations Practice, has been named to Negocios Now’s annual Who’s Who in Hispanic Business edition. This special edition profiles outstanding Hispanic leaders from a wide range of sectors, including business, corporate leadership, government, law, finance, elected office, and nonprofits.

Sergio is a Chambers-ranked White Collar litigator and Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, with more than 70 jury trials to his credit. He is widely recognized for his experience defending companies and individuals in criminal and regulatory proceedings, conducting internal investigations, and advising clients on compliance programs and related matters. He is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, having served for approximately 18 years, including seven years as chief of the General Crimes Section for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.
