Steven A. Paletz, associate in Akerman's Real Estate Practice Group, has been selected as Co-Chair of the National Young Leadership Cabinet of Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) for the 2026-2027 term.

Founded in 1963, the National Young Leadership Cabinet is JFNA's flagship program for developing the next generation of Jewish community leaders and philanthropists. The program comprises more than 500 members across the United States, Canada, and Mexico who work to strengthen Jewish communities across North America and around the world.

As Co-Chair, Steven oversees the organization's full calendar of events, including an annual retreat and an international service-learning mission, and leads an 18-member executive board of leaders from across North America. He has been a Cabinet member since 2022.

Steven's commercial real estate practice spans the full lifecycle of a transaction, from acquisitions and financing to leasing, entitlements, and construction. Steven represents local, regional, and national developers across residential, industrial, retail, office, mixed-use, and hospitality sectors. He has also represented lenders in loan document negotiations and previously served as general counsel for a national homebuilder based in Colorado. Steven has been listed by Best Lawyers as "One to Watch" and by Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" for Real Estate in Colorado from 2024 to 2026. He was also recognized among the Denver Business Journal's 2026 40 Under 40 honorees.
