Robert Slavkin, Healthcare Practice Group Chair, shared with The American Lawyer his predictions for the healthcare industry in 2021, including what impact he believes the Biden administration will have. He hopes the new administration’s pandemic response, as well as increased certainty from a COVID-19 vaccine, will lead to a resurgence of healthcare M&A after the industry dropped off by as much as 20 percent in 2020.

“What goes down has to go up,” Slavkin said. “Because there’s been a decrease, there will be a pent-up demand and some reaction to that.”
