Akerman’s consistent ranking is a reflection of its continued success in lateral recruitment. The firm achieved its sixth consecutive year of record-breaking growth during the 2016 fiscal year. Headcount grew by 10 percent to an all-time high of 650 lawyers across 24 U.S. offices.

Last year, the firm announced that it is more than doubling its physical footprint in Chicago to accommodate its rapid growth in the region.
