The Wall Street Journal quoted Carol Faber, Co-Chair of the Distressed Property Practice, about commercial rent relief amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Many landlords, whose commercial tenants are asking for rent relief, are agreeing, though some are asking for proof of financial distress before delaying or forgiving rent payments.
“People are doing the dance. They are feeling each other out. They are trying to figure out how to proceed,” said Faber.
