Timothy Sendek reflected on the impact of Ruth Bader Ginsburg on patent law during her tenure as U.S. Supreme Court Justice, in an article published in Law360. 

“Among a towering list of accomplishments left behind by the late justice, her impact on patent law is notable.

While not as likely to capture public attention and media headlines, issues in patent law bear greatly on all levels of commerce. Justice Ginsburg's tenure coincided with an enormously impactful era in the Supreme Court's patent jurisprudence, and her mark on that era was indelible. 

In her time on the court since her appointment, Justice Ginsburg was both with the majority and against it on significant patent issues, occasionally penning one of her famous dissents.”
