Amy Price's experience in intellectual property and related areas of the law is both comprehensive and multifaceted. She has extensive experience litigating cases in federal court involving not only infringement of trademarks, copyrights and patents, but also unfair competition, false advertising, trade secrets, defamation, and rights of publicity. She also regularly assists clients with the selection, procurement, protection, enforcement, and licensing of their intellectual property rights and confidential and proprietary information, both in the United States and internationally, and in preparing, filing and sending DMCA and other takedown notices, and false or misleading endorsements, testimonials, and reviews. 

Amy’s transactional skills are focused on drafting and negotiating contracts regarding the use and/or transfer of trademarks, trade dress, confidential and proprietary information, patents, copyrights, technology, know-how, rights of publicity, copyright management information, domains, social media profiles, handles and usernames, and music and other entertainment industry assets, in both traditional and digital forms. She is also well-versed in litigating domain name disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization and cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. 

In addition, Amy’s practice concentrates on providing guidance and enforcement services for companies, brand affiliates, brand advocates, and influencers regarding proper trademark and copyright usage, brand management, social media campaigns, rights of publicity, co-branding campaigns, sponsorships, use of user-generated content, defamatory and/or false statements, and best practices in advertising and influencing online, including on e-commerce, marketplace, social media, digital media, and digital streaming sites, such as Amazon, Shopify, the App Store, the Google Play Store, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Etsy, Weebly, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Tidal, SoundCloud, Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway, and TripAdvisor. She also regularly assists clients with drafting their website terms and/or conditions of use, terms of sale and/or service, privacy policies, the usage of any user-generated content shared on such sites, and any required disclosures concerning such use. 

Amy also has experience assisting clients in the purchase and sale of music assets, including recorded music, music publishing catalogs, and music royalty streams. Such representation includes conducting in-depth copyright and related intellectual property due diligence and drafting and negotiating the related asset and purchase agreements. 

Additionally, Amy aids individuals, including artists, authors, songwriters, recording artists, photographers, videographers, and filmmakers, in terminating and recapturing their prior grants of copyright, and/or in re-negotiating the royalty streams earned from such prior grants.
