Ashley Akapo focuses her practice on a wide range of complex matters, including high-stakes commercial litigation and government investigations concerning allegations of corporate and individual misconduct. She has experience preparing and managing cases in both state and federal courts through all phases of litigation, including developing strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases, drafting and responding to motions and discovery, and interviewing clients and witnesses in preparation for depositions.
In government enforcement matters, Ashley represents clients before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in inquiries, investigations, Wells submissions, actions, and administrative proceedings covering a wide range of purported misconduct. Ashley has experience in responding to allegations of securities fraud, violations of the Securities Act of 1933, Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, and fraud.
