Brice Dumais focuses his practice on obtaining, enforcing, and defending patents in the United States and abroad, along with protecting his clients' technology by invalidating rival patents.

Brice specializes in working with inventors to define the scope of their inventions, drafting patent applications that protect these inventions, and prosecuting the resulting patent applications at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. By doing so, Brice has obtained patents for his clients in a wide range of technological areas, including data security, flood damage prevention products, cooking apparatuses, exercise systems, fault detection technology, medical devices, speaker and audio systems, bicycle seats, adult toys, and financial products.

Brice also routinely counsels CEOs, board members, company owners, and individual inventors on all aspects of patents and patent law. This involves helping to determine when to file for a patent, preparing patentability opinions, and drafting infringement opinions for client patents and non-infringement opinions on rival patents.

Brice also represents his clients in patent litigation and patent post grant proceedings, including ex parte reexamination and inter partes review.
