Cameron Bertron focuses her practice on environmental law, advising clients on issues arising in transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters. She has experience managing and conducting significant environmental due diligence and preparing environmental provisions for real estate and corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Akerman, Cameron served as Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). In that role, she represented the DEP in proceedings before the Division of Administrative Hearings and in statewide circuit courts, handling matters related to environmental enforcement actions and environmental resource permitting.
Cameron’s background provides her with a comprehensive understanding of both the regulatory landscape and the practical considerations involved in environmental compliance and risk management across a range of industries.
