Akerman Remembers Our Friend, Colleague, and Former Chairman and CEO, Charles A. Schuette

We are deeply saddened by the passing yesterday of Charles (Charlie) A. Schuette, former Chairman and CEO of Akerman.  

Charlie was a giant at Akerman. He led the firm from 1994–2002, and was instrumental in the growth of Akerman during this time. Charlie believed the key to success was through strategic expansion into every major metropolitan area in Florida, and as a result, he solidified Akerman’s presence as a premier legal powerhouse in the state. And in so doing, he laid the foundation for the firm we are today.

Leaving an enduring legacy for his leadership and service, Charlie will be greatly missed by his family, colleagues, and community.
