Danielle Shannon is Akerman's Chief Talent Officer, overseeing the firm's recruitment efforts across 25 offices throughout the United States. Danielle is responsible for all aspects of lateral partner, associate, and law student recruiting and onboarding for the firm. She also manages the firm's campus recruitment activities and firm-wide summer associate programs, including summer associate orientation, mentoring, and training. She also participates in the development of lawyer performance, compensation, training, and mentoring programs.
In addition, Danielle is an administrative member of the firm’s Equality & Inclusion Committee where she worked to draft the firm’s first equality & inclusion mission statement and business plan, and spearheaded the firm’s involvement with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, The OnRamp Fellowship, Women in Law Hackathons, and the development of the firm’s internal equality & inclusion network groups. She serves as a member of Akerman’s Philanthropic Initiative (API) Council, working with the firm’s Chairman and key stakeholders to help define and champion Akerman’s philanthropic vision, mission, and signature programs.
