Akerman Remembers Our Friend and Colleague, Dean A. Dickie

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dean Dickie, a partner in the Chicago office since 2015. With a breadth of experience befitting a long career, Dean focused his practice on intellectual property, securities, and professional liability litigation. He tried cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States, and his national trial experience made him an exceptional lawyer. In addition, Dean was a longtime educator, serving as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University Law School and DePaul University College of Law.

A consummate lawyer whose practice was as fascinating as the man himself, Dean will be missed for his leadership, mentorship, and friendship.
