Gregg Moran counsels businesses and organizations ranging from small nonprofits to public, for-profit companies and governmental entities on a variety of corporate, employment, and tax matters. His practice encompasses qualified and nonqualified plans, executive compensation arrangements, federal and state income and employment taxes, health and welfare arrangements (including cafeteria plans), and federal and state tax exemptions. He has experience performing diligence and support on employee benefits and compensation issues arising in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Gregg’s work includes a substantial emphasis on pro bono assistance to tax-exempt organizations. He also regularly presents on corporate, employment, and tax law.

Before joining Akerman, Gregg began his legal career at an employment law boutique firm before joining a three-person firm in a smaller Florida community. His experiences have given him a unique perspective on the legal industry and clients of varying sizes, and he enjoys serving as a resource for people navigating our complex local, state, federal, and international legal landscape.  He also has a background in both litigation and transactional work.  His past experience in courts from Florida county court all the way to the United States Supreme Court has informed his approach to matters, always considering how a document or other piece of evidence might appear in the future to a neutral arbiter.
