John Loar focuses his practice on healthcare regulatory and litigation matters, commercial litigation, tort litigation, real estate litigation, and administrative litigation. John represents a diverse set of clients, from business leaders to healthcare professionals, in regulatory matters such as license revocation cases.

John represents clients in the healthcare industry to resolve administrative issues related to skilled nursing and assisted living facility licensing, including interpreting and navigating rules and statutes; obtaining variances from rules; helping navigate hang-ups in the license application process; and representing clients in resolving license application denials via formal or informal processes. John’s cross-industry representation experience includes protesting decisions made by state agencies and local government, and contract litigation and enforcement, including breach of contract cases and government contracts. John has successfully defended numerous complex tort claims seeking millions of dollars in damages, including defending tort claims at trial, prevailing on dispositive motions pre-trial, and in some cases prevailing on motions for summary judgment prior to ever filing an answer. John also has experience litigating breach of warranty claims and advising on compliance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Additionally, John handles all phases of commercial leasing, including lease preparation, negotiation, enforcement, and litigation.
