A well-rounded trial attorney, Kenway Wong is an emerging industry leader focusing his practice on products liability, commercial, real estate, and international disputes, with an emphasis on contract and business litigation. While maintaining a practice in Florida, Kenway represents clients with presences both nationally and abroad. Relied on by a roster of some of the biggest businesses in the manufacturing and distribution industries, Kenway is a key part of Akerman’s leading Litigation Practice Group.
Kenway has developed a unique practice working with manufacturers and global packaging companies with product offerings ranging from flexible packaging to custom roll stock printing, to commercial inflatable products, electromagnetic shielding equipment, and beyond. In recent years, Kenway has served as trial counsel in a products liability jury trial spanning five weeks, defended a large manufacturer against claims relating to the CHIPS and Science Act, secured final summary judgment in a high-six-figure contractual dispute, and obtained a complete trial victory through final judgment in a contentious commercial real estate matter.
In all representation, Kenway proactively identifies client concerns and provides counseling that aligns with his clients’ objectives and risk profile. Driven by obtaining positive outcomes for his clients, Kenway draws on his versatility and significant trial experience to effectively and efficiently resolve disputes, whether through high-paced litigation or strategic negotiation.
In addition to his practice, Kenway is an active member of the legal community, having served as a Pathfinder with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, the president of the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association, a board member of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, a board member of the Downtown Orlando YMCA, chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the Orange County Bar Association, co-chair of the Community Service Committee for the OCBA, Young Lawyers Division, and pro bono immigration counsel.
