Maxwell Hanamirian focuses his practice on bankruptcy and reorganization, representing debtors, creditors' committees, and court appointed fiduciaries in complex Chapter 11 proceedings and related litigation. He also represents plan administrators and liquidating trustees in resolving claims against the estate. Maxwell also handles Section 363 asset sales and preference and fraudulent transfer litigation, defending adversary actions brought to recover estate assets. 

Maxwell's bankruptcy judgment is grounded in the perspective he gained from the bench, as a judicial extern to the Honorable Rebecca Connelly of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia and a judicial intern to the Honorable Megan Sullivan of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth's intermediate appellate court. Before law school, he spent two years at a national insurance carrier, working alongside in-house and outside counsel to evaluate and resolve claims in litigation.
