Michael Hess is an experienced litigator who focuses his practice on complex commercial and business litigation matters. Michael combines his strong written and oral advocacy skills with an energetic, detail-oriented and creative approach to every case his clients entrust him with no matter the size of the dispute. He is committed to understanding his clients’ individual needs and is valued by his clients for his accessibility, responsiveness and ability to generate creative solutions outside the realm of rudimentary litigation strategy.

Michael represents entities and individuals in matters involving business and commercial litigation, as plaintiff and defendant, in multiple state and federal courts. His experience not only includes trial, but also alternative dispute resolution, taking and defending depositions, and drafting and arguing numerous motions, including motions to dismiss, motions to compel, and motions for summary judgement.

Additionally, Michael has significant experience in representing professionals within the State of Texas to include accountants, financial advisors, insurance agents, real estate agents, real estate brokers, construction professionals, building inspectors, web designers, and professionals working within the tech industry. Michael has also represented clients in compliance and regulatory matters pertaining to ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.

Prior to his legal career, Michael served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer, Ranger and Senior Rated Parachutist, and was the recipient of three Bronze Star Medals, with one Bronze Star Medal for Valor.
