Riya Resheidat focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, routinely representing individuals and businesses of all sizes in actions pending in federal and state court. She has experience handling all stages of litigation through trial and appeal in a broad array of matters, including products liability, fraud, breach of contract, and negligence actions. Riya emphasizes working efficiently with all parties to minimize costs while striving for the best results for her clients.

Prior to joining Akerman, she served as a judicial law clerk to a Federal District Court Judge, where she gained invaluable insight into the court system and complex civil litigation. Riya also served as Assistant Chief Counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where she represented the U.S. Government in federal administrative courts across the country.
