Stephen Smith focuses his practice on matters involving bankruptcy, restructuring, and commercial litigation. He represents debtors, creditors, businesses, and other parties before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, and the Delaware state courts. Stephen has represented clients in a wide variety of bankruptcy matters, alternative restructuring workouts, and commercial litigation related matters, including relief from the automatic stay, preferences and fraudulent transfers, assignments for the benefit of creditors, foreclosure proceedings, and complex commercial contract disputes.

Stephen previously served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jerrold N. Poslusny, Jr. of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, and before beginning his legal career, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
