Wes Davis is a commercial litigator focusing on insurance coverage and construction disputes. His insurance coverage practice encompasses first-party and third-party insurance coverage matters throughout the United States. Wes advises insurance companies on policy coverage issues during the claim submission process and also represents insurers in coverage litigation. He provides expertise regarding novel issues of contract and insurance policy interpretation, including third-party claims addressing long-term environmental contamination. These include matters addressing emerging contaminants such as PFAS, PFOA, and PFOS.  Wes also represents insurers in first-party coverage litigation, including disputes over property damage resulting from catastrophic weather events across the United States.

Wes’ construction litigation practice focuses on Texas construction disputes. Wes represents owners and contractors in addressing mechanic’s liens, payment disputes, and contract and delay claims on public and private projects. Wes specializes in evaluating and resolving multi-party disputes through contractual negotiation and enforcement, applying innovative legal analysis. This work has resulted in pre-trial dismissals of claims asserted against his clients and favorable settlements for contractors seeking to get paid for work performed. Wes works on all aspects of the construction litigation process through the trial and appellate process. Wes has extensive appellate experience, arguing more than a dozen appeals in appellate courts throughout Texas, as well as in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
