William "Bill" Helmstetter is a partner in Akerman’s Corporate Practice Group where he serves as lead counsel on transactions where technology, data, and privacy considerations constitute key components of the deal.
Bill has significant experience negotiating complex, high-profile deals across industry sectors, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, software and IP licenses, and other commercial agreements. He has a proven track record helping clients successfully shape legal and business strategy to acquire, integrate, and commercialize the capabilities of emerging and disruptive technologies and innovations while navigating increasingly complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
