Akerman is a sponsor 2015 Puerto Rico Investment Summit presented by the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development & Commerce (DDEC). The conference will gather government officials, investors, and entrepreneurs to learn more about Puerto Rico's program of economic incentives and its competitive advantages. Rogelio Carrasquillo will speak on a panel titled "Federal Visas: EB-5, L-2, and Others," and Augusto Maxwell will speak on a panel titled "Opportunities Between Cuba and Puerto Rico." The DDEC is responsible for implementing and supervising the execution of Puerto Rico’s public policy on economic development in the various entrepreneurial sectors of manufacturing, commerce, tourism, and other services.
