Hosted by Akerman in collaboration with the Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA), this guided waterfront walk offers a distinctive opportunity to experience Miami’s downtown riverfront and bayfront while exploring the legal, regulatory, and economic forces that have shaped the city’s growth.
Beginning at historic Miami Circle Park and continuing to Bayside Marketplace, participants will gain insight into how public‑private collaboration, land use planning, and development strategy transformed key segments of the Riverwalk and Baywalk. Along the route, speakers will highlight the designation of Miami Circle Park as a State Park, the evolution of Miami’s waterfront infrastructure, and the critical role the marine industry plays in the region’s economy.
The walk concludes at Pier 5 at Bayside, where guests are invited to unwind, enjoy sweeping waterfront views, and connect with colleagues over a complimentary drink—an ideal setting to reflect on Miami’s past, present, and future after an engaging and scenic experience.
