Akerman will host the New York State Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section 2025 Fall Meeting in our New York office. The program will feature a variety of timely and relevant topics. Intellectual Property Practice Group Partner Marc Lieberstein will moderate the panel titled "A Look at the Recent Evolution of Brand Licensing," which will discuss how brand licensing has evolved with the rise of influencers, co-branding, collaborations, NIL (Name, Image, Likeness), franchising, TikTok, AI, and social media. Panelists include Nicole Dolgon of ESCA Legal, Evan Naar of WHP Global, and Gregory Sullivan of J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

Akerman Litigation Practice Group Partner David Bayne will join co-presenter Prof. Antony Haynes of Albany Law School and moderator Rory Radding of Maschoff Brennan on the panel titled "Legal Ethics for a New AI Generation." They will cover the most recent and best ethical practices for attorneys using generative AI in the practice of law.

Daniel Rosen of TerraCycle, Inc. and Alex Meera Singh of David & Gilbert LLP will explore real-world lessons and strategies at the intersection of branding and advertising law in their presentation titled "Brand Name Challenges: Advertising and Regulatory Issues."
