Akerman is a sponsor of the Illinois Corporate Innovation Roundtable in a session titled, "What it Takes to Win in Intellectual Property: Business and Legal Strategies." The roundtable program is presented by University of Illinois’ (U of I) Gies College of Business. Timothy Sendek will moderate a panel entitled, "Intellectual Property and Legal Protection."

The invitation-only event is structured for IP experts including lawyers, executives, IP asset managers, VCs, and startup founders. Panelists and moderators will include representatives from the Gies College of Business, Akerman LLP, Charles River Associates, the U of I Office of Technology Management, Walgreens, Kraft Heinz,  and sibrtech Inc.
