Akerman is a sponsor of the UVC’s ‘Shaping What’s Next: RIT and UNY50 in Conversation’ lunch event. This event will bring together members of the UNY50 Leadership Network and the Rochester Institute of Technology community.

The program will feature RIT SOIS Gap Year Fellows, each delivering a two-minute pitch on their company or idea, showcasing the next generation of entrepreneurial talent. Following the presentations, hear about opportunities to get involved with RocGrowth, and enjoy a lunch with UNY50 leaders, and SOIS Fellows to see the future of entrepreneurship in Rochester.

Created in 2018, The Gap Year Entrepreneurial Fellowship allows students in the School of Individualized Study to take time off of school to focus on personal business ventures while still working toward their degrees.
