Three Akerman Tax partners will present to leading technology sector companies at COST’s (Council on State Taxation) State and Local Tax Workshop for Technology Companies. The two-day workshop will cover the key state and local tax issues that companies are facing, including emerging technologies, digital taxes, streaming, sourcing, marketplace facilitator laws, transfer pricing, gig economy, and much more.
Tax Practice Group Co-Chair David Blum will participate in the panel on “Transfer Pricing Strategies for Tech Companies,” which will discuss the rise in transfer pricing audits, as well as potential tax revenue sources that states may target next.
Stefi George’s panel, “Dealing with Complex Marketplace Facilitator and Accommodation Laws,” will discuss the best ways to comply with various state and local tax laws, such as marketplace facilitator provisions, that disproportionately impact technology companies.
Lorie Fale will join a panel of experts to answer a variety of questions from the attendees, and address trends they expect to see in the coming months and beyond.
