Amy Moor Gaylord, co-chair of Akerman’s Traditional Labor Law Practice, and co-presenter Vivian Schmitter, will interview human resources veteran Pat Garland about her book “33 Ways Not to Screw Up HR,” on a webinar presented by the Labor and Employment Relations Association’s Chicago Chapter. Pat Garland served in various human resource roles for over 40 years before retiring. The book is a guide to keeping it simple, avoiding bureaucracy, and elevating HR’s role. It is full of practical tips and anecdotes about her experiences with how things can go right and very wrong in human resources.
