Amy Moor Gaylord, Co-Chair of Akerman’s Traditional Labor Law Practice, will be a speaker at the National Academy of Arbitrators 2026 Annual Meeting & Education Conference, “Where Do We Go from Here: Strategies for a Changing World.” Amy will join a panel discussion titled “Med-Arb: An Alternative Approach (The Good, the Risks, and Why It’s Worth a Try).”
The session will explore the emerging use of Med-Arb, a hybrid dispute resolution model that blends mediation and arbitration, to address workplace conflicts more efficiently. Panelists will discuss when and how Med-Arb can be applied, examine its potential benefits and challenges, and share best practices from both U.S. and Canadian perspectives on this evolving process.
