David Blum, Co-Chair of Akerman's Tax Practice Group, and Michael Bowen, Chair of Akerman's State and Local Tax Practice, will speak at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) Annual Conference in San Diego. David's panel titled "Making Sense of the Complex Wave of Financial Transaction Taxation" will address the state and local tax aspects of financial instruments and transactions. Michael’s panel titled "Making the Case: Sands of Persuasion” will provide practical guidance on both offensive and defensive strategies for tax controversy management.
