Akerman’s Tax Practice Group Chair David Blum and State and Local Tax Practice Chair Stefi George will speak at The Chicago Tax Club’s 72nd Annual Fall Seminar on October 29. David will moderate and Stefi will speak on the panel, “Clicks, Code, and the Taxman: The New Frontier for Digital Taxation,” alongside Keith Staats, President of the Illinois Taxpayers Federation, and Mary Pat Kohberger, Managing Director at Deloitte. The discussion will cover recent cases, laws, and legislation impacting the rules around the taxation of digital products or services, including SaaS, advertising, social media, and cryptocurrency.
