Elizabeth Hodge will speak on a panel titled "Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI – What's New for 2024 and Beyond" at the Florida Sunshine Chapter Annual Conference, presented by the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM). 

The presentation will highlight recent federal and Florida developments related to the privacy and security of health information and the use of AI tools in healthcare. Health privacy and cybersecurity topics to be addressed include recent HIPAA developments such as enforcement trends and guidance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR), concerns with business associates, and recent Florida legislative updates related to the privacy and security of health information.

The presentation will also provide an overview of considerations when implementing AI tools in healthcare.
