Eric Gordon will present "Medical Marijuana and Other Top 'Hits' of 2014" at the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) December breakfast meeting. He will discuss the state of the law on medical marijuana in Florida and what to expect when laws permitting medical marijuana are finally passed. He will also cover other important cases and legislation which arose in the employment law arena in 2014, addressing such topics as pregnancy discrimination, interference claims under the Family Medical Leave Act, extended leave under the Americans with Disabilities Act, social media law in the workplace (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), and defining compensable time under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
