Roy Carrasquillo, Alejandro García-Villalpando, Carlos Méndez-Peñate, and Michael Bailkin will be joined by Edgar Ríos-Méndez from the Puerto Rican law firm Pietrantoni Méndez & Alvarez, to present on "Incentives for Development and Investment in Puerto Rico." This discussion will provide an overview of the various tax and economic incentives available in Puerto Rico for businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and investors. The discussion will include information about recently enacted laws in Puerto Rico that provide significant incentives for entities that relocate to Puerto Rico and who export their services to resident investors located in Puerto Rico. Finally, the discussion will cover other economic incentives for tourism, manufacturing and renewable energy, as well as how non-U.S. residents may benefit from these incentives, including foreign investors in the EB-5 program.
