Kirk Davis, Chair of Akerman’s Healthcare Practice Group, along with healthcare partners Philip Sprinkle and Martin Dix, will present at The Florida Bar’s Health Law Sections’ Advanced Health Law Topics and Certification Review.

Kirk will speak on a panel titled, "Provider Regulation/Institutional Operations.” In addition, Philip will present on “Integration and Structure of Delivery Systems/Tax Issues,” and he will also participate on a panel titled, “Integration and Reimbursement.” Martin will speak on, “Licensure/Certification & Accreditation/Certificate of Need,” in addition to a panel titled, “Provider Regulation/Institutional Operations.”  

This Course is a valuable training program for new associates and in-house counsel and a refresher for experienced health lawyers who have applied to take the certification exam. The coverage includes discussions on fraud and abuse, compliance, tax, antitrust, managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, patient rights, informed consent, privacy, CON, state and federal regulation of health care providers, EMTALA, credentialing, and bioethics.
