Akerman Partner Michael Larson, 2026 President of the Florida Brownfields Association (FBA), will deliver welcome remarks at the FBA’s Environmental Justice & Public Health Committee’s annual Community Workshop. The workshop is designed to advance environmental issues through planning and sustainability efforts and will convene environmental stakeholders, regulators, government officials, and local community leaders to engage in dialogue on matters impacting environmental justice and public health.

In his leadership role, Michael advances the FBA’s mission to promote brownfields rehabilitation and redevelopment throughout Florida, support environmental cleanup initiatives, and foster collaboration among developers, public agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders. A statewide not-for-profit service organization, the FBA convenes industry leaders through conferences and events and has played a significant role in shaping brownfields-related laws and regulations across the state.
