Akerman’s Litigation Practice Group and Dallas office will present a seminar on key considerations for lawyers practicing appellate advocacy. Presented by Justice Bill Whitehill of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals at Dallas, this program will cover best practices in appellate advocacy, including recommendations on writing effective briefs and do’s and don't’s in oral argument. Justice Whitehill will provide a perspective both from his time on the bench as well as his 32-year career as a litigator in private practice.
