Akerman’s State and Local Tax Chair Stefi George and Tax Partner Michael Bowen will each present topics at the Council on State Taxation’s (COST) 56th Annual Meeting. Stefi's panel titled "State Tax Litigation – Identifying and Removing Internal Hurdles to Success," will focus on particularly challenging elements of SALT litigation, including evidence gathering, witness identification and preparation, managing expectations, internal and external costs, and publicity.

Michael's panel titled "Deep Dive into Cost of Performance and Market Based Sourcing: Methods of Multistate Analysis, Planning and Tax Accounts," will provide a deep and advanced analysis of the impact of recent court decisions on Cost of Performance and Market Based Sourcing and planning methods, strategies and ways to manage compliance, and positions in the various states.
