Akerman is proud to sponsor the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association 40th Annual Gala, which will take place on Saturday, July 21, 2018. The Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association is the oldest and largest association of black attorneys in Miami-Dade County, Florida. This year’s event also celebrates the association’s 40th Anniversary. They will mark the monumental occasion by recognizing prominent legal, community, and business leaders who best embody the 2018 gala theme: “A Celebration of Black Excellence.” This year’s gala will also feature the installation of the 2018-2019 officers and directors. Proceeds to benefit scholarship recipients and other charitable causes of the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Foundation.
