With the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure law, otherwise known as Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, passed in 2021, Congress allocated almost $1.2 billion for infrastructure projects, of which $550 billion was new money. Agencies are still working to get the funds out the door. Recently, however, the current administration has taken some steps to rescind some of the funding. Thus clients are required to navigate a complex world where some projects will proceed, and others will eventually disappear. They need the professional help from Akerman attorneys to protect their projects, develop new projects, and take advantage of the funding opportunities.
Akerman has a long history of helping public and private clients to achieve their transportation objectives, from developing winning projects and obtaining financing to overcoming administrative roadblocks and developing innovative public-private partnership strategies.
