Akerman is a sponsor of The Florida Bar 2015 Annual Convention. The event includes the Florida Bar Foundation's 39th Annual Reception and Dinner, where Akerman partner William Van Nortwick, Jr., will receive the Medal of Honor Award, the Foundation's highest recognition. Margaret Mathews, a litigation partner in the firm's Tampa office will be sworn in for her third term on the Florida Bar Board of Governors during the convention. In addition, Akerman is also sponsoring the 2015 Federal Judicial Roundtable Luncheon, which will be held at the convention earlier in the day.
