Akerman Senterfitt today announced that it represented  XPO, Inc. (formerly XPO Logistics) (NYSE: XPO) in its $365 million acquisition of 3PD Holding, Inc. (3PD). XPO, Inc. is one of the fastest growing providers of transportation logistics services in North America, with business units in freight brokerage, expedited transportation and freight forwarding. 3PD is the largest provider of heavy goods, last-mile delivery logistics in North America. The acquisition was financed with the net proceeds of XPO, Inc.'s recent $220.5 million public offering of common stock, together with cash on hand.
