Eric Goldberg spoke to The Wall Street Journal following the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s announcement that it was lifting a hiring freeze that went into effect in late 2017. Goldberg, who served as a CFPB managing counsel prior to joining Akerman, gave his point of view having served with the governmental agency for six years.
“Ongoing hiring is important to the agency maintaining a critical mass of staff and to protect current employees from being overburdened,” said Goldberg. He said the jobs posted recently are “key positions to the functioning of the bureau.”
