Akerman is a sponsor of the "Supreme Cork" networking event presented by the Georgia Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Family Law Committee. This event will benefit the Guardian ad Litem Program and Safe Families Office of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.

Akerman lawyer, Brittanie Browning, was recently sworn in as President of the YLD for the State Bar of Georgia. The YLD has more than 30 committees that provide service to the public, the profession, and the Bar through an array of projects and programs.
