Akerman is a proud sponsor of the Georgia Asylum & Immigration Network’s (GAIN) annual fundraiser, "Taste of the World." The event will raise funds that are critical to serving thousands of people each year with free immigration legal services. Taste of the World will feature an exclusive silent auction and stories from the community and around the world, reflecting the rich cultural backgrounds of the clients GAIN serves. 

Jeremy Burnette serves on the Board of Directors of GAIN and as chair of this year's fundraising event. He also provides pro bono legal services to a client of GAIN, a legal services nonprofit organization with a mission to protect and empower immigrant survivors of crime and persecution. With the help of volunteer attorneys, GAIN provides humanitarian and legal immigration relief for asylum-seekers and immigrant survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
