Press Release

Akerman was recently recognized among the world’s highest-grossing law firms in the annual AmLaw Global 200 ranking. The firm was ranked #110 based on total gross revenue of $537.2 million in 2022.

The Global 200 report provides a detailed look at the largest law firms in the world by revenue and is a benchmark of the financial health of the global legal industry. The rankings are based on data submitted to American Lawyer Media (ALM), which is the publisher of Law.com and The American Lawyer magazine.

In an article announcing this year's rankings, ALM stated, "For the first time since at least 2018, revenue at the highest-grossing 200 law firms in the world, as ranked by Law.com International, remains more or less flat—inching up by just over 1% to hit $188 billion as a collective." By comparison, Akerman's performance outpaced the overall market of peer firms, with revenue growing substantially. Last year the firm was ranked #115 in the world with gross revenue of $493.7 million, and it has moved up steadily since ranking at #121 in 2019.

Scott Meyers, Akerman's Chairman and CEO, said, "With our ongoing ascension in the AmLaw Global 200 rankings, we are delighted that Akerman’s growth strategy and our commitment to a high-trust culture of integrity, respect, and fairness continue to pay strong dividends. Our significant growth reflects the professional excellence of our people and the continued trust placed in us by our clients."
