The M&A Advisor will recognize top 100 U.S. law firm Akerman LLP this week during its 17thAnnual Turnaround Award program. Akerman will be recognized as an award winner in the Restructuring Award category, "Restructuring of the Year ($1B to $5B)", for work on behalf of The GEO Group in a debt exchange valued at $1.78 billion. The award recognizes the leading distressed transactions, restructuring, refinancing, products and services, firms, and professionals in the United States and international markets. The award will be presented to Akerman, and to other professional participating in the transaction, at the 2023 Distressed Investing Summit March 21-22.
