Top 100 U.S. law firm Akerman LLP is pleased to announce that litigation associate Brittanie Browning was installed as president-elect of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia on June 3rd during the organization’s Annual Meeting at Amelia Island, Florida.

Prior to her election as YLD president-elect, Browning served as a member of the YLD Executive Board of Directors, for two years as co-chair of the YLD Community Service Projects Committee, as YLD secretary and, for the past year, as YLD treasurer. Her term as YLD President will be the 2023-2024 Bar Year.

Browning focuses her practice on appellate and litigation matters. Brittanie guides clients through all stages of trial and litigation including discovery, depositions, and evidentiary hearings. In addition, she handles appeals at both the state and federal level.

The Georgia YLD is comprised of approximately 10,000 lawyers admitted to the State Bar of Georgia who are 36 years old or younger or who have been admitted to their first bar no more than five years.
