Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, has once again earned the most honorees in Florida Trend’s 2020 Legal Elite List, with 20 lawyers receiving honors.
In addition to earning the highest total number of lawyers listed, Akerman had the most women recognized compared to any other law firm. The firm's Legal Elite honorees represent offices across Florida, including Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa, and West Palm Beach.
Partners David Ackerman, Silvia Alderman, Karen Buesing, Joni Armstrong Coffey, and Kathi Giddings were once again featured in Florida Trend’s Hall of Fame. Florida Trend also named four Akerman lawyers as Up & Comers for their record of excellence in the legal community, representing the future of law.
The 2020 Legal Elite list recognizes the state’s top lawyers as selected by their peers through a voting process in 27 practice areas. The publication recognizes less than two percent of the more than 106,000 Florida Bar members practicing in the state.
